This summer Brecher, a West End multidisciplinary firm, acted for the Travelex tycoon Sir Lloyd Dorfman on his £40.5 million purchase of a new building in Soho, central London, from the property developer Derwent London. Soho Place comprises 18,400 sq ft of office space and a theatre, which is let to Nica Burns, the West End theatre producer and co-founder of Nimax Theatres. The deal was seen as an important vote of confidence in premium office spaces as workers slowly returned to city centres.

Over the past year Brecher also advised on the construction aspect of the south London development known as Embassy Gardens, Nine Elms, which surrounds the US embassy building, and acted for a borrower on the property and financing aspects of a £155 million refinance and development loan facility for a Marylebone Square mixed-use development by Concord London.
