BMI has this week launched online check-in and DIY boarding passes for the majority of its routes.
The service - available at www.flybmi.com/onlinecheckin - allows you to check in using your booking reference number and surname, the number of the credit card used to book the flight or a frequent flyer membership number.
Online check-in is not available on every flight. At present, long-haul flights are excluded. On short-haul routes, the service is not available on flights from Heathrow to Alicante, Inverness, Lyon, Madrid, Milan, Nice, Palma and Venice nor on the following routes: Manchester to Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow; Leeds Bradford to Brussels, Edinburgh, Glasgow Paris; Edinburgh to Brussels. Passengers printing their boarding cards at home and flying from Brussels and Dublin have to exchange their boarding card at the premium check-in desk.
The airline has also installed self-service check-in kiosks and web points at Heathrow, Glasgow, Manchester and Edinburgh where passengers can check in.
