Adele had to stop a performance midway through when she spotted the doctor who delivered her baby in the crowd of her Las Vegas show on Saturday.
In footage from the event at Caesars Palace, she is seen singing When We Were Young while dressed as Morticia Addams for Halloween, and then becoming distracted by someone in the audience. “Shut up!” she says before rushing over to give the man a hug. With her voice cracking with emotion, she says: “Oh my God, Colin! This is my doctor that gave birth to my baby. I haven’t seen you for years.”
“Sorry!’ she tells the audience. “That man delivered my baby!”
Adele, 35, had Angelo, who was born in 2012, with her former husband, Simon Konecki. She said in August that she was “ready to be a mum again”.
She is now in a relationship with Rich Paul, 41, a sports agent. At another concert last month she told fans that she had met him the “old school” way, at a party. “I get a bit jealous [of my friends]. I never really got to do online dating as it became a thing after I was famous,” she said. “I am with the love of my life. I’m obsessed with him. We met the old school way. But sometimes I do wish I’d had that courtship online.”

The doctor is not the first person Adele has interrupted a show for, with Sir Paul McCartney receiving a hug from the singer when he attended a performance at the start of this month.
Adele has signed a contract to extend her residency in Las Vegas — which first began in November last year and was scheduled to end on June 15 next year — ending hopes from fans that she might announce a world tour in 2024.
A source told The Sun, who first reported the contract extension: “Vegas is perfect Adele. It means she can perform regularly for her fans without having to have life on the road. It’s only a short trip from LA once a week so when she’s not on stage she is able to still be with her son Angelo. A second extension has been agreed and looks set to be announced during her final weekend next month.”
