Blake Morgan provided legal advice on all aspects of a recent NHS project to develop a programme to eliminate Hepatitis C in the UK. This included planning and designing the procurement, the contractual work to support it and litigation advice on challenges to the process. The work contributed to NHS England winning two awards for public procurement.

The firm has grown its public sector work over the past 12 months and was appointed by the Mayor of London’s Office for Policing and Crime to the panel of law firms authorised to provide legal support to the Metropolitan Police.

Demonstrating its full-service capability, it was instructed in the sale of the business and assets of the Andover-based Be Wiser Insurance Service and the transfer of its 190 employees. Under the deal, the Be Wiser brand was acquired by the Jersey-based company Ardonagh Group and will operate alongside the group’s other insurance companies on its Atlanta retail platform.
