In Israel the real problem is the 400 settlements on the West Bank (there is trouble enough disengaging from Gaza) and Hamas, ominously, remains outside the recent accord.
At home however, his premiership has been characterised by incompetence and endless lies and spin. There are signs that the voters will not buy his pap for a third time. His much-trumpeted strong card, the economy, is based on thousands of companies and individuals striving to make a profit, mostly against the tide of regulation heaped upon them. Of course, he makes no mention of inheriting a sound economy after the ERM debacle.
