ANDERSON Anthony Keith Anderson on 2nd January 2023, aged 93. Educator, performer, musicologist and beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, died peacefully at the RVI, Newcastle upon Tyne.

BROUGHTON Robert Anthony (Bob) died peacefully in his sleep at Quinta Lara, his home in Portugal, on 16th December 2022. Much-loved father of Tim, Katie, Robbie and Henry and grandfather to his 12 grandchildren, he will be truly missed. There will be a private family funeral but a memorial service will be held at a future date.

Born in Pittington, brought up in Durham City, beloved and lively wife for 61 years to Kenneth, faithfully trailing his career around the world throughout 36 household moves. Mother to Helen, Ian and Douglas, ten grandchildren and one great-grandson.

GULL Margaret (née Berger) on 15th December 2022, aged 99, died peacefully. Much-loved mother to Lucinda, Mark and Angus and grandmother to nine grandchildren. A service to celebrate her life will take place at St Leonard’s Church, Flamstead, on 28th January at 2pm. Donations may be made in her memory to Alzheimer’s Society or to St Leonard’s PCC Flamstead.

WEBB James. We sadly announce the death of our pilot father James John Webb (Jimmy). He left us on 8th December 2022 to join the great squadron in the sky.
He will be greatly missed by his three daughters, Celina, Syrie and Tracy, and by his six grandchildren. Funeral service will take place on 20th January at West Herts Crematorium at 2pm. DE WYNTER Robert died peacefully at Charing Cross Hospital surrounded by family on Christmas Day 2022. Robert was a force of nature, full of love and generosity, touching many lives and providing much-needed support to those struggling. A supportive and loving father to his children and a loyal and warm friend to many, his presence will be dearly missed by those lucky enough to have known him.
