Skidmarx Double Bubble screen

£50, skidmarx.co.uk

This screen is said to enhance the aerodynamics of a motorbike and increase the size of the air pocket behind it, thereby giving the rider greater protection from the wind and rain. The maker says the screen uses the same technology as its race models, which have been fitted to bikes ridden to victory in the Isle of Man TT. It is available for various bikes, including the Triumph Daytona 675 (pictured). No modifications are necessary - it would replace the original factory-fitted screen, using its current mounting points.

Oxford HotHands handlebar heater

£50, oxprod.com

This heated handlebar overgrip gadget is easy to fit, simple to wire into your bike's power supply and doesn't consume much battery power, which can be a crucial factor on a cold morning. If your bike already has heated handlebars - as many models now do - then the HotHands can easily be fitted onto the grab-rail at the rear for a passenger to cling onto.

In 1964 Steve McQueen entered the International Six Day Trials race in East Germany on a Triumph 650. He crashed and retired. Triumph has revived the jacket he wore, with quilted shoulders and "S McQueen" on the chest. For comfort it also includes a modern breathable, waterproof membrane.
