The specialist employment law firm BDBF is acting for Tony Danker, the former director-general of the Confederation of British Industry, who was sacked over allegations of misconduct.

The former boss of the business lobby group said that his “reputation has been totally destroyed” after being fired over complaints about his behaviour. He acknowledged that he had unintentionally made some staff feel “very uncomfortable” and said “I apologise for that”, but denied any wrongdoing.

The firm successfully represented Robert Gagliardi in the first employment anti-suit injunction obtained under the new jurisdictional regime that applies post-Brexit. The firm obtained an anti-suit injunction preventing Evolution from taking further steps in its claim against Gagliardi in New York.

It represents Sebastian Lapinski, an investment professional, in his claim against the private equity firm Triton, its founder and chief executive Peder Prahl and several members of its leadership, successfully defending a jurisdictional challenge to his case at a preliminary hearing in the employment tribunal this year.
