Asbo to protect suicidal woman

A woman who has tried repeatedly to drown herself has been banned from her local beach. Amy Dallamura, 42, from Aberystwyth, has had an antisocial behaviour order placed on her that prohibits her from entering the sea, beach and parts of the promenade.

Dyfed-Powys Police brought the order to protect Ms Dallamura and the emergency services, who have pulled her from the sea three times. A police official said: “It’s a bid to protect everyone.”

Ms Dallamura, who claims to be racked by hip and back pain, said: “My sanity has never been the problem, but the pain has led me to make desperate decisions.”
