Art of Spain
BBC Four, 9pm
Andrew Graham-Dixon (below) continues his journey into the dark heart of Spain, discovering how the harsh authority of the Roman Catholic Church produced some of its most stunning art. The power of the series lies in the treasures Graham-Dixon uncovers, such as how Phillip II’s tiny bedchamber, tucked away in his monumental Palace of El Escorial, leads directly on to one of Spain’s greatest basillicas, or the eye-popping altarpiece of Toledo’s cathedral, with its thousands of doll-like figures. But tonight’s featured painters, El Greco and Vel?zquez, reached the pinnacles of their success by subverting the artistic rules of the age, as evidenced here by some of their most spectacular paintings.

Entourage/The Office: An American Workplace
ITV2, 11pm/11.30pm
ITV2’s late-night class act continues. In Entourage, Eric tries to dissuade Vince from joining him on a romantic weekend away in wine country with Sloane, while Drama and Turtle try dating at a dog park - neither enterprise runs smoothly, unsurprisingly. Meanwhile, Ari uses his gay assistant Lloyd to land a notorious new client. Later, in The Office, Ryan goes on a double date with Kelly while Michael and Dwight are away at an office supplies convention.
