High Commissioner to The Gambia

Mr Philip Sinkinson has been appointed British High Commissioner to the Republic of The Gambia, in succession to Mr Eric Jenkinson, who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment. Mr Sinkinson, 55, the former deputy high commissioner for Kingston, head of UK Trade & Investment for Portugal, and vice-consul (commercial and information) for São Paulo, will take up his appointment in April.
