This year marks the 60th anniversary of the founding of the firm by Tony Gold. With offices in London Bridge and Streatham, Anthony Gold has a strong reputation in social housing, personal injury and family law.
The firm has one of the largest social housing teams in the capital, taking on complex disrepair cases for tenants and leaseholders against housing associations and councils.
This year it has assisted more than 250 residents, including groups, living in substandard housing conditions. Its lawyers provided representation at the Grenfell Tower inquiry, helped to draft key housing legislation and gave evidence to the House of Commons committee that was considering the Building Safety Act.
The firm’s personal injury and clinical negligence team has secured more than £80 million worth of damages for its clients.

It also has a strong family law practice. In recognition of his work, the partner David Emmerson received the prestigious lifetime achievement award for services to family law from Resolution, the specialist family law professionals’ group.
In sadder news, Howard Lerman, one of Anthony Gold’s earliest partners, died this year, having worked at the firm for 45 years.
