The Lord Mayor and the Lady Mayoress, Alderman and Mrs Michael Savory were the hosts at a dinner held yesterday at the Mansion House. The Chancellor of the Exchequer and the Governor of the Bank of England spoke. Among the guests were: the Directors of the Bank of England and Bankers and Merchants of the City of London, together with the Sheriffs, members of the Court of Aldermen and the Court of Common Council and Officers of the Corporation of London, the Earl of Home, Lord Walker of Worcester, Lord Denman, Lord Aldington, Lord Tugendhat, Baroness Hogg, Mr Desmond Browne MP, Mrs Ann Keen MP and Mr Mark Field MP.
