Sir, Graham Harris (letter, Aug 14) in reply to the question, “Where have all the real men gone?” points to the selfless men of the RNLI who put themselves at risk to save others. Mr Harris may not be aware that women now join men on lifeboats for such rescue missions. I am sure that they, too, do not delay long to do their hair.
