A moral code?

Sir, We have been in need of a national moral code for many years now. The cartoons in the Danish newspaper and the consequent protests were found to be offensive by many people. I will begin a moral code list with two suggestions:

(a) Freedom of expression must be tempered by concern for the impact it may have on society.

(b) Human life is the most precious thing we have; it must not be deliberately destroyed or damaged.
