Sir, Might not Gordon Brown’s handwriting improve at a stroke if he used a finer nib (letters, Nov 10)? Legible handwriting, coupled with neat lines and suitable layout are partial indications of self-discipline, integrity and clear thinking. Abraham Lincoln’s letter (report, Nov 10) displays these well.
Many people’s handwriting has deteriorated in the computer age, mine included. Wouldn’t we all be better for it if we paid more attention to our handwriting and layout? I am starting today.
