I am no great fan of English wines - too many are expensive, thin, evil paint-strippers. Yet English wine is improving with each vintage, and every so often a good one comes along. Made from a blend of hand-harvested huxelrebe, rivaner and seyval blanc, this tasty, grapey, hedgerow-scented, spice and fruit-laden white is a case in point.
