Relationship therapy online

WHAT IS A RELATIONSHIP THERAPY?

We specialise in providing relationship therapy for individuals, partners and couples, and are inclusive of gender, sexual and relationship diversity. We warmly welcome all and have a large team of therapists including bilingual therapists. Our qualified relationship therapists and counsellors have undertaken a specialist 2-year postgraduate diploma training in relationship therapy. We additionally offer reduced-fee sessions with therapists-in-training who are undertaking their postgraduate diploma training.

A relationship therapist helps people work through a wide range of issues they may be experiencing in their relationship. They also help to work on enhancing relationships, explore dating and relationship styles, and to understand more about what someone might like from a relationship. Relationship therapy (sometimes referred to as couples counselling or marriage counselling) is available for individuals, their partners and couples in all relationship configurations and sexual orientations.

Relationship difficulties can be very distressing, and people often struggle with how to resolve them. Navigating them involves understanding where they are coming from, looking at different perspectives, values and behaviours and identifying ways that the needs of each can be met while considering both relationship and personal contentment.

As with psychosexual therapy, relationship therapy can help people understand where issues originate and facilitate discussion and exploration to identify solutions in a safe, impartial, non-judgemental and confidential environment.

BUILD
CONFIDENCE

Confidence grows with nurture, while psychosexual therapy provides the environment for that growth to take place. It enables self-exploration, understanding, gaining new tools and looking through different lenses to promote a positive relationship with self and the things that matter.

TALK IT
THROUGH

Bottled up thoughts, worries and distress impact our wellness. As we start to talk, we start the journey to make sense of what is happening. It helps to do that with someone who has the resources and training to support us on our way.

MOVE
FORWARD

The first step of moving forward is understanding what is holding you back. The next is getting to a place where you can let go of it and reach out to what lies ahead. Exploration and healing take you from one to the other.

HOW IT WORKS

Therapy takes place in a confidential and non-judgemental space with therapists who are qualified and passionate about helping people. It is an opportunity to work through difficulties, understand more about yourself and your situation, while finding ways to cope, heal, grow, and improve the way you feel over time.

Sometimes we don’t know why we are feeling as we do, nor how to take the steps to move forward to a happier place. We may not have thought about how counselling or psychotherapy could help. Talking to and sharing your thoughts and feelings with a therapist can help to make more sense of what is happening and together find a way to work through it.

We understand how hard it can be to find time in busy schedules so we have therapists who can offer appointments throughout the week – daytime, evenings and weekends.
