Jennifer Zamparelli reveals ‘heartbreaking’ reason she left 2FM after RTE ‘couldn’t give’ her what she needed
'I’m taking a job I can tailor around family life'
JENNIFER Zamparelli has revealed the "heartbreaking" reason she left 2FM after RTE "couldn't give" her what she needed.
The Dublin beauty handed up the mic on her daily radio show this year after a whopping 10 years on air.

Jennifer made the difficult decision to leave so she could spend more time with her husband Lauterio and their two kids - daughter Florence and son Enzo.
Despite her gut feeling to quit, the 44-year-old still had a "mini panic attack" when she gave in her notice and described it as being one of the "hardest things" she's ever done.
The mum-of-two told VIP Magazine: "Because at the heart of it, I didn’t want to go, I didn’t want to leave my show. And, it was heartbreaking – it really was. But something had to give and unfortunately, that was it."
Jen confessed that RTE couldn't give her the time off she needed this summer to spend time with her children after her husband got a new job.

The Dancing With The Stars host said: "Lau has taken the reins for so many years and now he’s on a pretty big job that takes him away; he’s gone 7-7 so I’m single parenting, pretty much.
"He’s very busy and this is his time to fly. I needed more time off this summer and RTE just couldn’t give me that.
"Initially when I did take time off back in April because my dad wasn’t well, RTE were amazing: text messages, phone calls, very supportive... But, look I get it, they need to run a radio station.”
And while Jennifer is supposed to be taking a break from work, she's busier than ever as she's "saying yes" to "things that she wouldn't have said yes to before".

She added: "I’m taking a job I can tailor around family life. And that is a joy that’s taken me years to get to. To be able to do that is amazing."
Jennifer and her family have been enjoying their quality time together and recently went to on holidays in Galway.
The family-of-four stayed in Glenlo Abbey hotel, located in Bushypark just fifteen minutes from the city.
HOLIDAY TIME!
The sprawling estate and golf course has loads of activities and dinning areas for the family including dog friendly areas of the hotel.
Jennifer took to Instagram after their stunning weekend away to share some snippets of their staycation.
The 44-year-old looked happier than ever as she sipped a margarita to kick off her fabulous stay.
They got to enjoy a beach day as the family visited Silverstrand beach, where Jen and her husband took a cute loved up selfie.
Silverstrand beach is only a short 10 minute journey from where the family were staying.
They also got to go on a bike ride on bikes that brandished the resorts logos.
The five star resort lived up to its name as Jen showed the luxurious interior of her room, that featured a spacious living room with and outside patio.
