Ireland AM stars Muireann O'Connell and Tommy Bowe report live from new location

Another added: "Brilliant."

The Ireland AM hosts were recently left speechless after a "picturesque" painting segment turned into a "disaster" on air.

Popular co-hosts Muireann O'ConnellTommy Bowe and Alan Hughes were back on screens for another fun-filled show.

However, the TV hosts were left with no words when an outdoor painting segment took an unfortunate turn.

Tommy introduced presenter Deric Hartigan who was "braving" the weather at Howth Pier, where a group of painters from Dublin Art Classes were taking part in an outdoor paint class.

As Deric appeared on the screen he agreed with Tommy as he said: "Braving the elements is right, the wind is hitting here and the rain is pouring down, but it's all about painting here."

PAINT PROBLEMS

In the background, a very grey, stormy pier could be seen along with a dozen painters trying to get through their outdoor class with the wind blowing in their faces.

As Deric approached the art teacher, Catherine, she hilariously remarked that the painters were getting "great effects" on their canvases with the weather.

Catherine then revealed that she had to put a weight on her Easel so that he canvas wouldn't blow away.

Deric then moved on to another painter who's picture had "completely washed away" with the weather.

They both bursted into fits of laughter as he said: "Evelyn you're beautiful painting is gone".

As the interview's continued, the camera began to get hit with the heavy rain causing the screen to go blurry.

Another woman revealed that she had "a helper holding an umbrella" to make sure her paint wouldn't run off her canvas with the rain.
