PRAWN TO BE JOKERS

Coronation Street stars letting their hair down – and pranking each other with shellfish

Unlike their characters, the actors have found the lighter side of life on the cobbles

SOMETHING fishy has been happening on the Coronation Street set – as its stars pranked each other with SHRIMP.

Toyah Battersby actress Georgia Taylor, Rana Nazir actress Bhavna Limbachia and Julia Goulding, who plays Shona Ramsey, found the shellfish taped to the door of their dressing room by a mystery joker.

It turned out the culprit was Todd Grimshaw - played by Bruno Langley - who later found the seafood had been taped to the door of his Audi in revenge.

The stars then took to Twitter to share the bizarre pranks with fans – and taunt each other in the process.

Langley, 34, posted a video of his antics and wrote: “Fishy girls”, which prompted Limbachia, 32, to declare: “Naughty boy! Just you wait.”

Fiery Taylor, 37, who returned to the ITV soap earlier this year after a 14-year absence, warned her tormentor: “This is war, Langley”.

Several hours later, Langley returned to his car to find the shellfish surprise taped to the driver’s seat handle.

He refused to take it lying down and warned his foes: “Be careful the next few days”.

The funny exchange prompted fans to weigh in, with one dubbing the prank #shrimpmyride.

It provided much-needed light relief on the set as life on the famous cobbles has been as dramatic as ever lately.

Last week, viewers saw a heartbroken Toyah Battersby told she had no chance of becoming pregnant.

While Todd Grimshaw has been at the centre of a gay adoption storyline with on-screen partner Billy Mayhew.

In real life, Langley last year found himself hauled into court accused of failing to give information to police in reference to a speeding charge.

He denied the offence and blamed Royal Mail for not forwarding letters to his home.
