I was on Love Island – here’s why Wil’s footballer brother and Omar’s superstar best friend were never mentioned on show

FAR from just being a load of buff bodies in beachwear, this year’s crop of Love Islanders are a well-connected bunch.
Two of the boys who were in the villa have links to famous rapper Stormzy and a premiership footballer who plays for Newcastle United.

According to Samantha Kenny, housemate Will Anderson is the brother of midfielder, Elliott Anderson, 21.
PE teacher Omar Nyame who arrived as a bombshell last month is also a close friend of the rapper Stormzy who is dating the ITV2 show’s host, Maya Jama.
In an interview with Heat magazine, Sam spilled the beans. She said: “One of the Islanders told me [about Wil's brother], and I was like 'Is your brother a footballer' and he was like 'yeah' and I said, 'is he single?' and he said 'no' and I said, 'oh never mind'."
Sam also said that Omar never once mentioned his friendship with Stormzy in the villa.

She said: “Omar never told us about being friends with Stormzy and then during Aftersun Maya said to me, 'Do you know that he’s best friend with Stormzy?' I was like 'Sorry, What?' So Omar had a little gathering at Stormzy’s place in Soho and I met Stormzy."
The Croydon born lad left ITV2's Love Island alongside Tiffany Leighton when they were voted the least favourite Islanders in the villa.
Samantha Kenny was ousted last month after being abandoned by her love match Joey Essex who coupled up with Grace Jackson instead, leaving Samantha single.
Quantity surveyor Will, 23, from Newcastle’s Whitley Bay, remains in the villa.
