Stevie Mitchell reconnected with his son Billy earlier this year and has been desperate to put things right between them.

Played by actor Alan Ford, the character had been estranged from his son for two decades.

EastEnders fans recently watched as he was wrongly accused of stealing Lola's charity money, before later being left unconscious by his grandson Will.

But now it looks like Stevie will get Walford.

Upcoming scenes will see Billy decide to throw a surprise party for Stevie in The Vic and explains to Will that Stevie and his long-lost mum, Val, shared the same birthday and that he doesn’t know where his mum is living.

Stevie later breaks the devastating news to Billy that Val tragically passed away years ago.

With Billy a broken man, Stevie implores Billy and Teddy to hear him out and apologises for everything he’s done before planning to leave Walford.

After a confrontation with Phil, Stevie asks Mo to do him a favour.

Phil is furious to discover his car is missing and calls the police.

Stevie asks Billy if he can say goodbye to his grandchildren.

Is this the end of Stevie Mitchell? EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday, July 8th on BBC One and iPlayer.
