I'M A Celebrity finalist Matt Hancock was snubbed by new campmate Nigel Farage in favour of a former queen of the jungle.

The disgraced ex-Health Secretary finished third on the show after controversially signing up last year - months after stepping down from government.

It's now Nigel's turn to face the jungle - but he didn't bother asking the former Tory MP for tips.

Nigel's close friend Alex Phillips, a presenter on TalkTV, said: "No, he would never do that."

He did however, talk to Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo who won the how in 2017.

Alex - who's Nigel's former aide - continued: "Georgia will definitely have given a lot of support, encouragement and insider tips from Toff. I'm certain about that.

"But he's not bothered about beating Matt Hancock's placing last year.

"He's in there because he thought, strategically, politically, it's the right time to do it as he's thinking about a potential political comeback.

"Also, he likes a challenge, and if he was going to do it, then it's the right time in his life now while he's on television and not running a political party and not fighting campaigns.

"I dare say Toff was a sort of big influence on that decision."

Nigel's career was built his political career on being a Eurosceptic and urged Britons to vote leave in 2016 Brexit referendum.

Toff was similarily a Brexiteer who wanted Britain out of the European Union.

It caused many debates with her close friend and ex-Prime Minister Boris Johnson's dad Stanley when they appeared on I'm A Celeb together.

The pair share a love of politics - though they don’t always see eye-to-eye and there is a five-decade age gap.

“He is 54 years older than me but I do make him question politics and life,” she says.

“Everyone thinks we sit there and bang our fists on the table, and that he says ‘You’re right on everything Toff,’ but it’s totally the opposite.

“We disagree on lots of things. I mean, he's a big Remainer and a huge Europhile and I am a real Brexiteer."
