GTA 6: Everything we know about the trailer and release date for Grand Theft Auto
The first trailer is out and we have a lot of new information to share.
GTA 6 was first confirmed in February 2022, and we have finally received our first look at some gameplay.
The Grand Theft Auto series is home to the world's best-selling games, and we're sure GTA 6 will also be a huge success.

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming GTA 6.
When will GTA 6 release?
GTA 6 is officially confirmed for a 2025 release date, but financial data can help us narrow that down further.
A press release from publisher Take Two confirmed that it was planned to launch during financial year 2025.

This means that the intial release date would have been early 2025, between January and early April.
However, it seems that there have been internal delays within the company and it will be released a little later.
The latest financial report suggests that the release window has moved to late 2025 some time between September and November.
This is a common release window for games as it aligns with the holiday season.

What is the setting for GTA 6?

Take Two started issuing takedown notices for Vice City modded maps this year, making people believe that Rockstar was creating something in this setting.
The first trailer confirmed these suspicions as we saw a sign for Vice City.
Vice City is based on the real life city of Miami and we saw plenty of Floridian mainstays in the trailer.
How big will GTA 6's map be?

Following on from the hack last year, dataminers have used the clips to gather information on the upcoming game.
Placing the map for GTA 6 next to Los Santos from GTA 5, it appears that the map is around twice the size.
It also looked as if the map would expand past the area we could see.
A number of location names were also found in the datamine.
These were Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Redhill, LO, Sundown, Copperhead, Yorktown, Lake Leonida, Ekanfinika, Hamlet, and Domed Hill.
Rockstar has confirmed that the new Vice City will be the biggest world yet, with sprawling bridges and far off islands.
Does GTA 6 have a female protagonist?

Rumours about this have been around since Rockstar announced that GTA 6 was in development.
Leaks suggested that the upcoming game would feature dual protagonists – a man and a woman – in a modern take on Bonnie and Clyde.
The trailer introduced us to Lucia our female lead, and showed off her male partner.
Leaks claim his name is Jason, but this hasn't been officially announced.
What weapons are available in GTA 6?

Currently, the combat appears similar to GTA 5 with your usual range of weapons.
We did see a number of characters doing actions from cars, which makes us believe you will be able to shoot while driving.
We saw people wielding shotguns, pistols, knives and hammers in the trailer, but we think there will be other weapons like golf clubs, or baseball bats
Does GTA 6 have co-op?

From watching the trailer it seems that GTA 6 will be the first mainline game to feature co-op play.
Lucia and her partner take on heists together and there is a stong focus on teamwork.
