It surprised fans to see the fighter on the TV show where celebrities perform in disguised costumes, while judges and viewers attempt to guess their identities.

He sang a rendition of OneRepublic's 'Counting Stars' in a spectacular style given the fact he gets into a octagon for a living.

This comes five months after the South African martial artist beat the most controversial figure in the UFC.

The star in question is current UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis.

Du Plessis was eliminated in the latest episode of the competition, despite receiving a standing ovation.

In January this year, Du Plessis made history as he became the first South African UFC champion following his win in Toronto.

He defeated American force Sean Strickland for the UFC's middleweight championship after a split decision.

The judges scored it 48-47, 47-48, 48-47 in Du Plessis' favour.

A third declared: "WHAT THE HELL?"

A fourth said: "Another side quest smashed by our champ."

After his elimination, Du Plessis said: “It looked like so much fun, and I love music.

“I sing a lot in the shower, I sing a lot in the car, so I thought, ‘Let’s take this car singing to the world.’

"I’ve tried everything. I’ve played many sports, I’ve played many instruments. This was just another thing to tick off my list.”

Meanwhile, Du Plessis is set to fight highest ranking contender Israel Adesanya in September.

Following his win in Toronto, Du Plessis said: "This is history! South Africa... we can probably hear them from outside. That country is amazing."
