Teen girls aged 12 and 13 killed in smash after car driven by 14-year-old boy crashes during police chase

A PAIR of teenage girls were killed after a car driven by a 14-year-old boy crashed while he was reportedly being chased by police.
The horrific crash happened in Woodward, Oklahoma, as the boy was on a three-day break from a home for troubled youngsters, his mum said.
The teen allegedly stole his grandmother's car and picked up the two victims and two other boys.
He has since appeared in a juvenile court charged with two counts of manslaughter.
An accident report said the boy was trying to flee from police when the car flipped.
Three of the five passengers who were not wearing seat belts were thrown from the car.
One of the young victims has been named as Katana Richley, a 13-year-old who left home without permission, her parents said.
Her mum, Shyila Clugston, told News Channel 4: "We're pretty sick. We're pretty upset, heartbroken, just trying to figure it all out.

"She was a very bright child. She was a good girl. She was just rebellious."
Her dad, Jason Richey, said: "[Katana and her friend] were supposed to be spending the night at my house.
"And then they snuck out of my house and met up with them at Wal-Mart."
The boy's mum said: "He regrets it. And he wants, he wants it to be him instead of them.
"He didn't do it on purpose. He said he was scared.
"He said he didn't mean to miss the stoplight. He was just so scared. He didn't want to get locked up. He wanted to go back to the Boy's Ranch."
A police officer said he had tried to get the car to pull over before the crash happened.
The driver escaped with minor injuries, as did one of the male passengers, as they were wearing seat belts.
The two boys were taken to hospital and reported to be in a stable condition.
A full police investigation is underway as the District Attorney confirmed the case would not be heard in public as it involves juveniles.
