Notorious prankster who fooled Scaramucci claims he also duped Katherine Jenkins into believing she was invited to perform for Saudi prince
A NOTORIOUS prankster claims he fooled opera singer Katherine Jenkins into believing she was invited to perform a gig for a Saudi prince.
We revealed yesterday how an online joker duped ex-White House boss Anthony Scaramucci by posing as a sacked chief of staff.
This time the trickster, a 39-year-old web designer from Manchester, pretended to be an assistant to a real Saudi prince in an email to the Welsh singer, 39.
He wrote: “Prince Adel Al-Otaibi has requested that I ask you if you would consider coming over to Saudi Arabia to perform at a private family event in September this year.
“Is this something you might be open to?”
Jenkins, 37, copied in her manager, and meetings were seemingly arranged.
The imposter sent another message, as the prince, writing: “I am beyond the moon you are to hopefully perform for my guests.”
Jenkins replied: “It is an honour to meet you, albeit over email!”
She added: “I was very happy to receive your invitation via Mr Francis Nugent-Reeves and to learn that my manager is meeting with him in London early next week.”
The prankster duped Donald Trump’s spin doctor Scaramucci — known as The Mooch — into an email slanging match, believing him to be axed chief of staff Reince Priebus.
