The hotly anticipated smartphone will be launched on March 29, but reported features and pictures have already been leaked.

Samsung won't confirm any rumours, but a report from the Korea Economic Daily claims high-up officials have been blabbing.

The report claimed: "Officials at Samsung Electronics said on March 8'We decided to have Galaxy S8 mounted with the face recognition function since iris recognition is limited in terms of accuracy and speed of recognition.

"They noted, 'If face recognition is added, it would contribute to unlocking the smartphone within 0.01 second.

"Other sources said, 'The development of face recognition technology for the software of the Galaxy S8 has already been completed.'"

It's not clear how the technology would work, as it would mean the camera being switched on while the phone is locked.
