Japanese model, 21, with ‘anime body’ breaks the internet by posing in bizarre ‘virgin-killing sweater’
Pullover that's more fresh air than wool becomes a sensation in Japan with the help of these saucy snaps
IT MAY not be too good at keeping you warm, but this jumper is breaking the internet in Japan.
Pictures of the so-called 'virgin-killer' sweater modelled by 21-year-old stunner Jun Amaki have gone viral in the Asian country.
The item — which gets its name from its apparent ability to excite virgins to the point that they DIE — was only released last month.
But this latest endorsement by the model known as the "woman with the anime body" has helped it become a must-have pullover.
It has since become a favourite of Japanese girls and women attending comic shows and in fashion shoots.
And Jun's social media profiles have exploded since she posted the snaps in the skimpy jumper.
With 290,000 followers and rising on Instagram, she could soon be giving the likes of Kim Kardashian a run for her money.
Why are young-looking models so popular in Japan?
JAPAN is well-known for its cutesy culture.
Brands like Hello Kitty are revered and an obsession with schoolgirl outfits and video game characters can appear startling.
Services exist in the country for businessmen to walk around with young-looking girls in skimpy costumes.
And cafes and restaurants in Tokyo and other cities are often themed - meaning female staff are encouraged to wear revealing uniforms while serving food.
Thankfully, this apparent fetish for childlike wimsy and innocence rarely steps into the bedroom.
But it does raise questions over why such an obsession exists.
Studies suggest that Japan's famous high work ethic may be behind it.
Children in the country are worked hard from an early age, often cramming in 12-hour days at school as well as finding time for extra-curricular activities.
It means by the time they grow up, a sense of a 'lost' childhood is common.
An attachment to childhood passions, like video games, comic books and cute brands can then spill over into the desire to be around young looking people.
And in turn many popular female models are remarkable for how young they look
