Mum’s warning over ‘tap out’ TikTok challenge after spotting kids playing ‘game’ in playground
A MUM has issued an urgent warning over the "tap out" TikTok challenge after she spotted kids playing the "game" in a playground.
Katy Spence, from Boston, Lincolnshire, is speaking out in a bid to let other parents know the dangers behind the potentially harmful, so-called game.
The popularity of the shocking challenge grew when it started trending on TikTok.
Tap out ends with one of the kids taking part losing consciousness.
And as it circulates with more youngsters starting to get involved, there's great concern for their safety.
Mum-of-two Katy has now told of how she saw a group of eight kids playing it in a park.

She said they had "no regard for the danger they were putting themselves in".
Speaking to LincolnshireLive, she added: "I had taken my nine-year-old son, six-year-old niece and three-year-old nephew to the skate park.
"I was sat on a blanket reading a book when I heard a group of kids, around 11 years old say that they were going to play the 'tap out' game
"There was a group of around eight of them and they were being loud and quite intimidating.

"I usually would never say something to someone else's child, but when I heard them say that, I had to intervene.
"I said to them that they shouldn't play that game, but they didn't care what I had to say and said 'are you going to stop us?'
"They just had no regard for the danger they were putting themselves in, when I told them that they could end up in a wheelchair they just didn't care."
A 12-year-old boy from Birmingham died taking part in the lethal craze back in 2016.
Karnel Haughton was found unconscious after his mum returned from buying fish and chips.
An inquest found Karnel tried the game out when he was home alone before he was tragically found around 9.30pm.
His mum Gemma Haughton told the hearing at the time: "I went to the chip shop and came back in and he was there.
"I thought he was just messing about. I thought he was just joking."

And in America, Joshua Haileyesus was left brain dead after he was found by his twin brother on March 22, 2021.
Meanwhile, another 12-year-old boy in Colorado remained on life support for 19 days after attempting the trend.
