Melania Trump ‘called Donald after every rally’ and ‘elevated him by saying how great he is’, ex-best friend says

MELANIA Trump would be the first person to call Donald after every rally, according to her ex friend.

Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who was once an adviser to Melania, revealed the former first lady would be the one giving Trump high praise behind closed doors.

"I believe their way of showing affection towards one another is her telling him how wonderful and great he is," Winston Wolkoff said on the Hollywood Life podcast that aired this week.

"She was always his first phone call," Winston Wolkoff said of Trump's rallies and public appearances, "always, no matter where she was."

"And the first thing he’d say was: 'Hey Baby, how'd I do?'" the 51-year-old fashion executive said. "Like he wants her approval."

"She tells him how it is but she also makes sure to elevate him and embrace what he’s doing, because that is who she is," Winston Wolkoff said.

Winston Wolkoff, who wrote the book "Melania and Me" about her friendship with the First Lady and later working for free as her advisor, said Melania's outward persona was a show for the public.

Melania, 51, would externally show these signs of aloofness in an effort to "shine the light over here so you don’t see what’s going on over there," Winston Wolkoff said.

The author took issue that the Slovenia ex-model was not in love with her husband, saying her retracting her hand from Trump's was less of a marriage on the rocks and more of a distraction from "what's going on."

Her distance to Trump, 74, was apparent throughout his presidency, leading some to believe she would divorce him after his term and take custody of Barron, 14.

However, Winston Wolkoff said that's a rumor, and the love is there between the two, so much so that Ivanka wanted in on Melania's duties.

"I didn’t realize that, but when you see their eye contact and the seduction through that gaze, it’s more about that than I think anything else," she added.
