Ivanka Trump cries in emotional goodbye as former first family leaves Washington for Florida

DONALD Trump's eldest daughter shed tears today in an emotional goodbye to the White House.

Ivanka Trump, 39, began sobbing as she watched her dad in the final hours of his presidency arriving at Joint Base Andrews and boarding a plane south to his home in Palm Beach, Florida.

Along with her husband and kids, the tearful ex-first daughter stood alongside her siblings Eric, Don Jr, and Tiffany as her father spoke to a goodbye rally.

He pledged to "be back in some form" after he was voted out of office.

Ivanka wore a $2,994 cream-colored Altuzarra coat with black buttons, with heeled black boots as she walked across the tarmac with her youngest son, Theodore.

Husband Jared Kushner held the hand of their son Joseph and daughter, Arabella.

Trump's Vice President Mike Pence did not attend his Maryland rally, as he will attend the inauguration.

Meanwhile, Ivanka’s younger sister Tiffany, 27, appeared to struggle to hold back tears as she watched her dad's departure for his Mar-a-Lago resort.

Tiffany chose a coat without sleeves for the chilly occasion.

Her camel-colored coat featured long slits down each arm, exposing her arms to the cold and showing off the bright pink lining inside.

She showed off her new engagement ring after announcing yesterday that she intends to wed her fiancé Michael Boulos.

Eldest son Don Jr, 43, also appeared emotional, with a solemn expression as he stood beside his girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle.

Eric, 37, smiled at those who had gathered while holding hands with his wife, Lara.

After Lara and the ex-president exchanged kisses on the cheek, Eric, too, went in for the cheek kiss – but he missed by inches, puckering his mouth openly into the air.

Social media users have dubbed it a “shadow kiss” and the “funniest moment” of the occasion.

Hail to the Chief was played by an Air Force band and army field artillery fired off a 21 gun salute as Trump and Melania took to the podium.

Less than four hours before Biden took office, Trump said it had been an "incredible four years" and insisted "we'll be back."

He was met by chants of "USA, USA" and "thank you Trump" as attendees to his farewell rally waved the Stars and Stripes.

About 500 Trump fans turned out in the icy wind, standing in a fenced off area in front of the stage.

Trump concluded as he said "have a good life, we'll see you soon" before leaving the stage with his campaign theme song Village People's YMCA playing over the loudspeakers.
