BRITS can trim hundreds of pounds off the cost of a trip to Disneyland Paris by booking through one of the resort’s European websites.
The price of a trip over the same dates can vary significantly, depending on whether you book through the British Disneyland website or the French, German or Spanish site, for example.
By instead using one of these sites - with the help of a translating tool - you could potentially cut the cost of your trip to see Mickey and pals significantly.
How prices vary by country
Here are some of the deals we have found where savings can be found when booking through a different Disneyland site, based on a family of four, with two children aged six and three.
Comparing apples and oranges
Inevitably, things are a little more complicated than they may first appear.
Holidaymakers enjoy different special offers, depending on whether they are booking from. For example, Brits who book by 28th March for trips this spring and summer get 30 per cent off the cost of the hotel and park tickets, with half board thrown in free on top.

But, holidaymakers from other countries can currently enjoy slightly different offers.
For example, French holidaymakers can get a 35 per cent discount on the price of the hotel and €100 to spend in various shops and restaurants across the theme park, while Spanish tourists enjoy up to two days and nights free, plus free flights for the under sevens.
It does mean comparing like-for-like deals is not always that simple. Certainly, the longer your trip, the better value the free food included when booking through the British site becomes.
But however long your planned stay may be, it’s worth a quick check online to see if you can save some cash.
All of your holiday documents will be emailed to you, rather than sent in the post - if you book through the German website, those emails will be in German though.
There are plenty of other simple steps you can take to cut the cost of a trip to Disneyland Paris too.
Pocket cashback on your trip
If you do opt to buy your tickets through the British Disneyland Paris site, then make sure you head to the site via a cashback website first.
When you shop online, you should always make use of the tracked links on cashback websites, like Quidco and TopCashback. You then receive a percentage of your spend back in cashback!
For example right now TopCashback users can get 4.72 per cent cashback on a package bought from Disneyland Paris. On a £1,500 trip, that’s £70.80 of extra spending money!
Stay offsite
Staying in one of the various hotels on the main Disney site is undoubtedly convenient, but you will have to pay a premium for that convenience.
You can save money by instead staying somewhere else - Disney actually partners with a number of other hotels in the area, so you can easily compare prices through the Disneyland website.
If you absolutely must stay on site, then you can still save cash by going with one of the hotels that are a slightly longer walk from the entrance to the main theme park - a stay at the Disney Hotel, which is right next to the entrance, will always cost more than a stay in the Newport Bay Club, which is around 15 minutes away.
Go off-season
Unsurprisingly, prices really ramp up during the school holidays, so if you can visit during the off-season it will work out cheaper.
For example, a trip between the 20th June and the 23rd June for a family of four, staying in Disney’s Sequoia Lodge, costs £889. But go between the 25th July and the 28th July and the price rockets to £1,110.
Look at booking your travel separately
The Disneyland Paris website offers you the chance to book your travel on top of your hotel for your stay.
But, it’s worth pricing up your Eurostar or flight prices separately - you may be able to find a better deal, and save some cash.
Get your spending money in advance
Loads of us leave changing up the holiday money to the last minute, whether we do it at the airport or even simply withdraw money out from an ATM once we arrive. That’s an expensive mistake - changing up cash at airports can cost you 20 per cent more!
Sort your money out well in advance. Compare what you can get online from firms like Travelex and ICE, as you will generally get a better exchange rate than with a high street bank or Marks & Spencer.
