But Primark has stepped up to help after popping a poolside essential on their sale rack.

Sharing a clip of their discounted stock, staff at the Irvine store in Ayrshire said: "SALE SLIDERS. £2 and £4 sliders available whilst stock lasts"

The holiday footwear was originally priced at £6, meaning you could save up to £4.

They're available in a range of sizes and colours, with some diamante options too if you're after some bling.

And it's not just the one store offering the discounted sliders either, as another bargain hunter revealed the picked up a £2 pair at the Fort Kinnard store in Edinburgh.

The happy shopper added: "I’ve got two pairs, two different colours. Definitely pick up more next time I’m there."

Someone else chimed in: "I got some also, really comfy too. Wish now I had bought more in different colour, going back tomorrow though."

"Got them as well, very comfortable", said a third person.

Meanwhile, a fourth echoed: "They are really comfy, I've got black ones."

It comes just days after the budget retail giant reduced another summer holiday essential to £1.

'Night out's sorted!' fashion fans rave about Primark's latest 90s nostalgia comeback and it’s a total bargain too

The swim shorts are available in a range of colours and sizes in store, in both menswear and the kid's department.

If this has inspired you to nip into your nearest store, it's also worth grabbing a £1.50 buy that’ll save your skin from ageing this summer – and it’s perfect under make-up.

SPF protects your skin from painful sunburn and decreases your risk of skin cancers and skin pre-cancers.

And Primark, known for its beauty dupes and on-trend styles, has dropped a brand new SPF range.

With awareness about the dangers of UV exposure growing, the timely launch addresses a crucial need for accessible and effective sun protection.

The collection features a plethora of products designed to cater to various skin concerns and preferences.

From lightweight, everyday face creams to lip balms that pack a punch, you can kit your health-conscious beauty arsenal out on a budget.

Why is Primark the place to go for bargains?

JUST how does Primark do it? Continue delivering on-trend items at such incredible prices? According to bosses, it's down to four points.

  • They "sell a lot of items" - Thanks to that, they are able to make savings by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
  • They "do very little advertising"
  • While their clothes offer the "latest trends", they "don’t use expensive hangers, tags or labels".
  • And lastly, they try to be "as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores". This includes things like asking "suppliers to pack our t-shirts so they are ready to go straight on shelf".
