A MUM has revealed why she let's her nine-year-old daughter swear and miss school even if she isn't physically sick.
Abbey Fickley, from America, took to social media to reveal her controversial parenting style - but it seemed many people were on board with it.

In the clip, she said: "Five things that I do not care about, Motherhood Edition."
The first topic was swear words, and Abbey revealed she let her daughter use them whenever she wanted when they were at home.
"We call them home words, because that's what they are," she explained.
"This is a privilege, so if you use a swear word to be unkind to another person that privilege is revoked."

Abbey revealed she wanted to teach her daughter about context, swear words included and revealed her daughter rarely swears.
Abbey added that this was because she never made using swear words a big deal, so her daughter was never fazed about using them or not.
She also allowed her daughter to miss school for a mental health day, as that was more important than education.
She also revealed this built trust between the two as her daughter could openly communicate, and Abbey would always listen to her needs.

"Life is hard, not just for adults but also kids," Abbey said.
Abbey also revealed she wouldn't put a cap on play dates for her daughter and her house was open to any of her friends at anytime.

"I didn't work this hard to get this home to not fill it with love and laughter," she added.
Abbey also said her daughter doesn't need to listen to every authority figure in her life, adding she would rather her feel safe.
The mum continued adding her daughter would never obey an authority figure just because they are one.
Last but not least, Abbey didn't care what music her daughter listened to and whether it was age appropriate so long as it wasn't offensive.

- School can be skipped if her daughter is having a bad mental health day
- Play dates are never off limits
- Her daughter doesn't have to listen to every authority figure if she doesn't feel safe
- No music is off limits
"If she's having a bad day and needs to blast some Ice Spice, that's none of my business babe," she said.
"I love motherhood, & I’m very proud of my parenting priorities. These things I listed are not focuses in our home," she captioned the post.
The clip has gone viral over on her TikTok account @abbeyfickley with over 1.5million views and 230k likes.
People were quick to share their thoughts in the comments with many agreeing with the mum's parenting.
