  2. Peel the banana. Place it into a freezer-safe bag or container, and then place in the freezer. Label the container with the date and contents.

How to Freeze Banana Slices

  1. Gather the ingredients.

  2. Peel the banana. Cut the bananas crosswise, creating 1/2 to 3/4-inch thick slices.

  3. Lay the banana slices out in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Flash-freeze until the slices are solid, about 2 hours.

  4. Transfer the frozen slices to a freezer-safe bag or container. Label the container with the date and contents, then return it to the freezer.

Storage

Bananas will keep in the freezer indefinitely but are best used within 6 to 8 months. Over time, they'll develop freezer burn.

How to Use Frozen Bananas
