South African media personality, model and actress Minnie Dlamini recently turned a year older, and Mzansi quickly flooded her social media feeds with warm birthday wishes.

With an illustrious career spanning years, she has fast become one of the most sought-after media personalities and has wowed many with her unmatched flair.

Minnie Dlamini is undoubtedly a trending topic whenever she posts on social media. The award-winning star is making headlines on her birthday. Despite her huge following and popularity, she has managed to keep her private life under wraps, leaving many to guess even about her age.

However, Mzansi managed to connect the dots about her age as she celebrated her birthday in style at the just-ended Durban July held over the weekend. Several celebrities celebrated with Minnie Dlamini at the Konka Veuve Picnic Durban in July.

The celebrated media personality took to social media to share her priceless moments. Some of the celebrities who were in attendance included Sphectacula and Junior De Rocka.

Since they were posted on the internet, the clips from her birthday party have received thousands of comments and reactions. However, despite the celebrations, Mzansi was more than puzzled by Minnie Dlamini’s age.

The 34-year-old was born on 7 July 1990 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The South African on-air personality, actress and model joins a host of celebrities who recently celebrated their birthday.

South African rapper Gigi Lamayne recently celebrated her 30 years. Surprisingly, she shares her birthday with Minnie Dlamini, who took to her Instagram stories to write a short birthday post to the rapper. Seasoned actress Rami Chuene also celebrated her 49th birthday earlier this month on 3 July.

However, despite her big wins it comes as a shocker to many that Minnie Dlamini reportedly dropped out of the University of Cape Town to pursue her TV career. In one of her interviews, she once mentioned returning to school to pursue a degree in Marketing.

Reports have it that she had to halt her studies to furnish her craze for small screens. She started her career as a presenter for Live in 2010. She shot to fame with her debut screen appearance covering the Youth Day and World Cup celebrations shows.

Despite her newfound fame, she co-hosted Mzansi Insider, a lifestyle show on SABC 1. She also hosted several sports broadcasting shows and co-hosted Soccerzone with Thomas Mlambo until 2016.

Since then, she has been winning big and has co-hosted some of the biggest awards ceremonies, including the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, the PSL Awards, and the South African Film and Television Awards.

Apart from hosting, Minnie Dlamini has had her fair share of success on small screens. In 2010, she joined the star-studded cast of Generations as Miranda. She also starred in The Wild as Zintle Lebone and nailed her Rockville on-screen character, Nosipho Bogatsu.
