Nicola Sturgeon’s sister turns her back on SNP in General Electon & reveals her voting intention

Spiritual leader Gillian said politicians had 'stabbed' her famous sister 'in the back'

NICOLA Sturgeon's sister has turned against the SNP and insisted there's "no party" she wants to vote into "corrupt" Westminster.

Gillian Sturgeon took to social media as millions of people headed to polling stations to cast their vote in the UK general election.

The spiritual reader and life coach joked she would just stay at being a "dumb ass" instead of taking part.

She told her social media followers: "Good morning, it’s election day. First election day ever I won’t be voting!

"Westminster is corrupt & no vote is ever going to change that. The last few years have proved it.

"Yes I get it... women died for the vote, if you don’t vote, don’t moan.

"I get it all but there is no party I'd want to vote for to be honest.

"I’ll just stay at being the dumb ass that sells makeup (not my words lol)."

Gillian was criticised for her refusal to vote by a number of social media followers - but she stuck to her guns.

She responded: "Please just be aware. All parties have stabbed my sister in the back."

"Either way one will win and neither will do us any favours.

"SNP don’t have a voice in Westminster. They should but they don’t."

Gillian's announcement comes months after she revealed she had become disillusioned with politics and that there was "not one point in voting".

In January, the mum from Irvine vented her anger at the Nats after former First Minister Humza Yousaf performed a U-turn on banning XL Bully dogs.

She wrote: "Not one party I have confidence in anymore. Yes, women died for the vote but not to be manipulated and dictated to by the powers that be."

But more recently, Gillian spoke out in support of new FM John Swinney and revealed she'd vote for him.

The mum, from Irvine, Ayrshire, told her followers: "He’s such a lovely man & he shows compassion & has fire in him.

"He is also very experienced and has been an amazing politician during his career. He would def get my vote."

Last year, Gillian joked that a cop probe at the ex-First Minister’s home was "good advertising" for her job as a medium.
