Man, 24, dies after serious ‘incident’ at workplace in Scots town as investigation launched
A MAN has died following a serious incident at a commercial building in East Ayrshire.
Emergency crews raced to a premises on Kilmarnock Road, in Mauchline, on Friday, June 28.
The alarm was raised after a man was found injured at around 8.40am.
The 24-year-old, from Largs, was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
However, police have now confirmed that he tragically passed away in hospital yesterday.
The man's identity has not been made public.

The commercial building where the incident happened is also unknown.
Officers have launched an investigation to establish the full circumstances behind the incident.
They added that the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have been informed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 24-year-old man who was injured at a commercial premises in Kilmarnock Road, Mauchline has died.

“Emergency services attended the incident around 8.40am on Friday, 28 June, 2024.
"The man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
“He died on Wednesday, 3 July, 2024.
“The HSE has been informed and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
The HSE has also confirmed that they are also investigating the incident.
A spokesperson said: “We are aware of this incident and investigating.”
