Anyone wishing to practice as a pharmacist in Ireland must register with the PSI. Find out how to register as a pharmacist, renew your registration each year and other relevant information concerning your registration with the PSI.

Pharmaceutical assistants must be registered with the PSI to practice in Ireland.

Pharmacies are required to register as a retail pharmacy business (RPB) with the PSI to operate legally in Ireland.

Prescription medicines are not allowed to be sold on the internet in Ireland. Some medicines that do not need a prescription, are allowed to be sold. 

Complaints Process for Registration Matters

Under the Pharmacy Act 2007, the PSI maintains registers of pharmacists, retail pharmacy businesses (pharmacies), internet supply list registrants and pharmaceutical assistants. These registers are available to the public online.
