Troye Sivan and Ross Lynch Recreated the Video for "One of Your Girls" Live on Stage

Troye Sivan dominated the airwaves (or whatever we’re calling streaming now) last fall with his acclaimed album, Something to Give Each Other. Now, with the singer finally on tour half a year later, he’s continuing to break the internet by bringing out some special guests on stage — namely, Ross Lynch.

The actor joined Sivan on stage last night at Wembley Stadium in London for “One of Your Girls.” Lynch also starred in the music video for the song, in which he plays a straight guy that a cross-dressing Sivan is trying to seduce. He reprised that role at the concert, sitting back in a chair in a white tank top and blue jeans. While the singer wasn’t giving the full femme fantasy he donned in the music video, he was wearing a black corset while he gyrated on Lynch, recreating the choreography from the music video. And judging from the screams from the audience, the performance made just as much of a splash, if not a bigger one, as the “One of Your Girls” video did when it originally dropped in October.

Them got a first look at the video at an intimate listening party in Manhattan last fall, celebrating the release of Something To Give Each Other with Sivan himself. At the party, the singer broke down the meaning behind each song on the album, including “One of Your Girls.” Sivan shared that the song is his favorite on the album, and said that it was inspired by his experiences of sleeping with straight and questioning men. He also pondered the “internalized homophobia” of being attracted to guys who “would probably bully me in high school,” and explained that he sought to capture those complex feelings in the video.

The “Sweat” tour duo's recent appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers was perfectly esoteric.

“The sort of fantasy of it all, the attraction of it all, me bending myself to be what I think you might want,” he said. “And then also the vulnerability and the feeling afterwards.”

Sivan’s Something to Give Each Other tour is coming to a close this evening in Birmingham, but he’ll be hitting the road again in just a few months for his joint slay of a U.S. tour with Charli XCX.
