Josie Meléndez

Josie Meléndez is a Puerto Rican screenwriter, Rotten Tomatoes-approved film critic, and Vice President of the Puerto Rico Critics Association (PRCA). A member of the Hollywood Critics Association, she was named an emerging content creator by NALIP (2020) and an emerging journalist by TIFF (2021). She is also the founder of the Film Posers podcast, a podcast hosted by four Boricuas dedicated to analyzing film and television from their cultural perspective, and a co-host for the Filmme Talk podcast, two Puerto Rican femmes talking film. Meléndez also has a BA in English Literature and an MFA in Dramatic Writing.
