Desperate for a Cheddar Bay Biscuit fix? Although nearly 100 Red Lobster restaurants in 28 states were abruptly shut down last month — including at least 17 in Florida — and 135 may still be in jeopardy, there are still lots of locations for the popular seafood chain out there.

Red Lobster, which started in Lakeland, Florida and grew to be the largest seafood restaurant chain in the world, said it has more than $1 billion in debt and less than $30 million in cash on hand, CNN reported. It plans to sell the business to its lenders for financing to keep going.

While some blamed the chain's popular "endless shrimp promotion" for bringing the company down, experts pointed to inflationary prices, lease obligations above market rates, and operational decisions.

But the closed locations represent just about 15% of the 641 restaurants that were open in the beginning of the year, and USA TODAY pulled together every Red Lobster location and checked to see which ones were still open.

Here's where to go in Florida.
