Publix adds limited-time drinks, chips, salads, wraps to cool off for summer

Just in time for summer, Publix Supermarkets is offering some cool limited-time-only drinks and snacks to help you deal with the Florida heat.

The company announced two new teas and a lemonade, four different types of kettle-cooked potato chips, summer and pasta salads, and a new wrap from the deli. No deadline was provided so you may want to grab your cart.

This is the latest in the Lakeland-based supermarket chain's experiments in limited-time issues. In February the stores stocked eight limited-time store-brand ice cream flavors, Last year they greeted the start of football season with NFL-themed delis subs, including the Jacksonville Jaguars sub with hot chicken tenders, bacon, cheddar cheese, sweet coleslaw and BBQ sauce.

Publix also recently announced a new Italian-inspired Tutto Pugliese bread available for your favorite deli subs.

Publix Natural Strawberry Cucumber Mint Flavored Tea

"A blend of Asian white and green tea leaves, natural flavors, sweet strawberries, crisp cucumbers and refreshing mint," the company says.

GreenWise Wildberry Hibiscus Brewed Herbal Tea

"A blend of organic Egyptian hibiscus flowers, natural berry flavors and organic cane sugar."

Publix Natural Strawberry Pineapple Flavored Lemonade

"Made with lemon juice, pineapple juice and strawberry puree."

Now we're talking refreshing. Available at the produce section, this mix of watermelon, feta cheese, berries, and cucumber comes with limes to squeeze over the top.

Publix Deli Capellini Pasta Salad

Another cool concoction, this deli item is made with pasta, tomatoes, lemon juice, capers, garlic and red pepper.

Publix Hot Honey Chicken Tender Wrap

If you can tear yourself away from your usual Publix sub, go for a hand-breaded chicken tender wrap with sweet hot honey, ranch dressing, spinach, onions and bacon.
