Gail Holland Ingram

Gail Elizabeth (Holland) Ingram passed away at home in her sleep on April 11, 2024. She is survived by her husband David and their three children Jason (Rebecca), Rachel (Toby) Montgomery and Luke (Sarah) along with 8 grandchildren and her brother, Dan Holland. A native of Bartow, FL, she was the eldest granddaughter of Florida Governor and US Senator Spessard Lindsey Holland. Gail grew up riding Florida cow ponies in orange groves, graduated from Florida State University and then received an MA in political science from Georgetown University. She gave much of herself to fill the roles of caring wife of 52 years, mother, sister, home maker, and career history teacher at Penn Yan Academy in upstate NY. She was an enthusiastic horse owner and enjoyed playing the guitar and cooking with her children and grandchildren. Memorial services will be held privately.
