It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dianne Yvonne Webster Pitts from this earthly life to her new life in heaven. She passed on June 20, 2024 at her home from Sporadic Ataxia and Multiple System Atrophy at the age of 71.

She was born on June 14, 1953, in Burlington, Iowa to Maurice Todd and Madeline Yvonne Webster. Her family moved to Haines City, Florida in 1954 and Dianne considered Haines City her hometown. She was active in Rainbow Girls, holding various local and state positions. Her family attended the First Baptist Church where she made her confession of faith in Jesus Christ as her eternal savior. She graduated from Haines City High School in 1971. That same year she met and married Larry Pitts, her husband of 53 years. She worked as a medical secretary until she decided to become a fulltime parent and homemaker.

In 1982 the family moved to Auburndale, Florida. This is where her children grew up and she enjoyed becoming part of the community. She was active in volunteering at the schools that her children attended. She supported several churches the family attended over the years. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, traveling, going to the beach with her girlfriends and shopping. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Dianne had life filled with love, dedication, and kindness. She was a steadfast presence in the lives of those she loved offering unwavering support, patience, gentleness, compassion, and encouragement. Knowing she is no longer in pain or suffering and is with her Heavenly Father, brings great comfort. She will be forever missed in our hearts.

Dianne is pre-deceased by her parents, Maurice and Madeline Webster; brother Michael Todd Webster; and nephew Christopher Todd Webster.

She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Pitts, son Jason Pitts (Natalie) Lakeland, FL and daughter, Jennifer Verbeck, Winter Haven; granddaughters Megan Pitts, Charlotte, NC, Mallory Pitts, Lakeland, FL, and Kaley Verbeck, Winter Haven, FL; sister-in-law Brenda Olsen, Tallahassee, FL and niece Bonnie (Ian) Lindsay, Tampa, FL and several cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to be made to the National Ataxia Foundation (https://www.ataxia.org/donate/) or Good Shepard Hospice (https://www.chaptershealth.org/foundation/good-shepherd-hospice-donation/).

A Celebration of Life will be held at Kersey Funeral Home on July 17th, visitation at 10 am and service at 11 am. Afterward, friends and family are welcome to continue the Celebration at the Berkley Chapel, 581 Berkley Rd., Auburndale.
