After six long weeks on trial, Donald Trump has been found guilty on all 34 felony counts by a Manhattan jury, making him the first ex-president in history to be convicted of a crime. Thursday’s verdict was related to Trump’s alleged affair and hush-money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 election, about which Daniels has given lengthy testimony over the course of the trial. The newly minted convicted felon is set to be sentenced on July 11, days before Republicans will announce their 2024 presidential nominee, though Trump is still convinced, as he told reporters outside the courtroom Thursday, his verdict came from “a rigged trial by a conflicted judge.” He maintains that he is still an “innocent man.” Of course he does.

Regardless of whatever Trump is telling himself to sleep at night, everyone from politicians to celebrities is celebrating the conviction of the man previously found liable of sexual assault. Former New York gubernatorial candidate Cynthia Nixon, a.k.a. And Just Like That …’s Miranda, was quick to chime in on the news with a screenshot of the evening’s New York Times headline, while Katy Perry opted for a more simple “LFG.” Safe to say New York City will be drinking tonight, and hopefully that includes an extra-dirty martini for Daniels too. While we let the news sink in, here’s how some celebrities are reacting across the nation.
