LSU football added more strength to its 2025 recruiting class Thursday, when it picked up a commitment from a Texas defensive lineman.
Zion Williams, a four-star defensive tackle from Lufkin, Texas, announced that he was committing to the Tigers. According to On3, the 6-foot-3, 330-pound nose guard is a top-400 national prospect and one of the 60 best recruits from Texas.
Williams is the second defensive lineman committed to LSU's 2025 class. The first, a four-star Florida edge rusher named Jesse Harrold, committed to the Tigers in June.
LSU 2025 recruiting class, ranked fourth nationally according to On3, is headlined by commitments from a pair of five-star prospects: Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood and New Orleans running back Harlem Berry. Underwood is the consensus No. 1 player in the country, and Berry is Louisiana's top recruit, the top running back in the nation and a top-20 national prospect.
The Tigers once had a pledge from the top receiver in the country, Texas five-star Dakorien Moore, but he decommitted from LSU in May. He's now committed to Oregon.
