Hurricane Beryl is a dangerous Category 5 storm that has already made landfall over several islands in the Atlantic and southeastern Caribbean.
The areas where Beryl has already moved through rarely deal with major hurricanes. Beryl broke history as the first ever Category 4 hurricane in June and the earliest Category 5 hurricane to ever be recorded in the Atlantic.
Beryl damaged houses, destroyed boats and inundated island countries with flooding and storm surge.
The hurricane is expected to weaken a bit but hit Jamaica as a Cat 4 hurricane on Wednesday. The forecast beyond the next 72 hours, when Beryl is predicted to pass over the Yucatan and enter the Gulf of Mexico, is still uncertain, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami.
Here are photos and video of Hurricane Beryl destruction from island countries including Grenada, Barbados, St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

A Florida filmmaker rode out Beryl in Grenada and called the aftermath on Carriacou Island "360 degree devastation."
